Cosmetic lasers have been proven safe to use on patients with over 10 years of clinical use in areas such as skin rejuvenation, hair removal, red vein and spider vein treatment, acne treatments and many more. The majority of cosmetic lasers have traditionally been of the Class IV laser variety, utilising specific dosage parameters in relation to power density (Watts per cm. Squared) and energy density (Joules per cm. Squared). The Power (Diode) Laser has been designed to facilitate beauty therapists and other qualified professionals being able to avail themselves of the above mentioned treatments using a much lower power laser than has been traditionally used.

Although the power output is much less than traditional cosmetic lasers, through the use of typical collimating and / or focussing lenses utilised in production of the Power Laser probes, has allowed the Power Laser system to apply the same, if not very similar, power densities and energy densities, thus making the Power (Diode) Laser system still clinically effective yet much safer to the end recipient of the treatments involved.

At this time, there are a range of laser systems which utilise similar applications in relation to hair removal that have lower powers, however, as far as I am aware, there are no similar systems on the market that have the application range of the Power (Diode) Laser, within the currently accepted minimum parameters for effective treatment.
